Another fine listen gents! Glad to hear everyone is as big a fan as I am for Ringo's "Early 1970." Graeme hit it right on the head about SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY album when referencing Ringo's comment about the song being the ones he'd heard his parents sing at the pub. It's very similar to why John recorded the ROCK N ROLL album (songs from his youth and whatnot) and yet he knocked Ringo's album in his 1970 Rolling Stone interview. Wondered where David White was going with the analog PLEASE PLEASE ME tracks but all made sense when he explained it was the TWIST AND SHOUT EP (which I don't have so thanks for reading the Tony Barrow notes). Gavin's Gary Moore segment was good as well (I've been listening to him on a few Thin Lizzy LPs of late) and it was nice to hear that bit about the ending of A HARD DAY'S NIGHT and how it relates back to the opening chord (when correctly played!). Know you're back in lockdown so stay healthy one and all. Cheers, John from America.
